Hanson Day Preperations :)

So I'm getting REALLY excited about celebrating HANSON DAY (May 6th)!! Unfortunately we won't be able to party the way I would like on the actual day since I will be working :( BUT we plan on celebrating it THURSDAY (May 8th) or FRIDAY (May 9th). So, I've been gathering ideas of what to do and so far all I have planned is FOOD stuff. I've been stealing a lot of great ideas from THIS GIRL. She is a GENIUS and I LOVE her creativity!! So here's what I've got planned so far:

Dinner
I plan on making dinner for our HANSON DAY CELEBRATION! I actually tried googling Ike, Taylor and Zac's favorite foods with little success. I read somewhere that Taylor's favorite food was brownies but that was back in the 90's. It might still be today, who knows? So I thought of a classic boy-food (well, everybody food really) that I'm sure the boys LOVE....PIZZA! BUT: there's going to be a bit of a twist with this pizza.....I will reveal what that is later. I just plan on making CHEESE and PEPPERONI (there are a lot of picky eaters in my family).

Appetizer
Easy Cheesy Breadsticks. These look amazing and are SO simple to make! SCORE!

Appetizer 2
These look good and pretty simple to make. We will call them Spinach, "Puff-Broccoli" & Mozzarella Pastry Bites :) Idea from this girl. She is awesome. If you're a fan of 90's Hanson then you should understand this reference :)

"Ew, this is like big and green it's like a puff-daddy video.Yo! I'm Puff-Greeny, uh!"

Salad
I want to have a salad to go with the pizza (don't forget your veggies people!). But I want it to be like a salad bar so there will just be a big bowl of lettuce with toppings in separate little bowls for the picky eaters to pick and choose what they want. So far I plan on having: Red onions, cucumbers, celery, cherry tomatoes, croutons, cheese, hard boiled eggs and dressing.

Fruit
Trying to add some healthy items to the menu :) Also, the pizzas I plan on making don't make a whole lot so everyone will probably only get ONE slice. Gotta have more food to make up the difference! I just want a mix of fruit like watermelon, cantaloupe, grapes and strawberries. Maybe like all cut up and in a bowl like a fruit salad or something.

Drinks
I am PROUD to say I came up with this idea MYSELF!! :)

Song Reference: Penny & Me

So obviously, we will be drinking LEMONADE with our meal :) LOVE IT!!

Now, on to the good stuff :)

Dessert: Brownies With "All That Crap We Love"
Idea taken from this amazing lady, once again. I laughed SO HARD when I saw what she did here. This is one of my FAVORITE Truck Stop Futy's! If you haven't seen this particular futy (or any of the truck stop futy's for that matter), take this time to do so NOW! It just might be the best 1 minute and 20 seconds of your day! :) These brownies are just so perfect and fitting for Taylor and his junk food addiction :) Makes me laugh!

I plan on leaving the potato chips out of mine.

"What....What are you guys getting?"

P.S. "All That Crap" is a reference to the hilarious Valentine song/video the boys made a while back called "All This Love Crap."

So apparently Zac is still an 11 year old and still smears chocolate all over his face ;) Sorry if it is unsettling to watch....maybe don't eat any chocolate while watching :)

MMMPOPS!
Stealing from her again. I take no credit! Wish I could as I think this is so clever! And so easy!!
All it is is a bag of Blow Pops!

Jelly Beans - Green, Red & Blue
There will probably be more colors and flavors than just those but I read on that 90's webpage that Taylor's favorite color is red and he loves red flavored jelly beans sooooo trying my best to be creative I decided to get jelly beans in the favorite colors of the boys (Ike: Green, Tay: Red, Zac: Blue) Clever, right? RIGHT!?

I SEE GREEN, RED & BLUE!! I'M IN LUCK!!

My plan is to print out the picture signs I made above and place them by the foods they correspond with. Now, let me hear some feedback! Is this a good idea or is it stupid? Be honest and let me know!! I have been having so much fun putting this all together I am just hoping it will all work out!
